The first page of the book (not including the foreword, index, etc) in progress.

I hate it.

It's not turning out how I'd pictured it in my head. I want to go through all the intended art concepts in the book via sequential storytelling but with a graphic design sense rather than the standard cartoonist sense.

There's still a third panel that should go down at the bottom third of the page, but still, I don't think it'd fix anything. Something's just not right.

I do notice that the coloring of the panels is a major reason, it's just too flat and um... spiritless? If only I could go for more of a painterly style as far as the coloring is concerned...
